One of the most important international food and HoReCa trade fairs in Europe is opening soon in Budapest.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

SIRHA will be held between 22 and 24 March 2022 at the HUNGEXPO Budapest Congress and Exhibition Centre. The entire food and HoReCa sector will be represented at this major exhibition. It is not only of national but also of international importance. 300 exhibitors from 16 countries will present their products, services and developments in three pavilions covering 20,000 square metres. This year, Sirha Budapest will once again host the Bocuse d'Or international cooking competition <\/a>European final. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is Sirha<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sirha is a high quality international food exhibition held every year. There is hardly a sector that is not represented at this fantastic event. The food, hospitality and hotel industries, as well as companies providing related products and services, are all represented at Sirha. It is also safe to say that this exhibition is a celebration of these sectors. In addition to the exhibitions, in recent years it has hosted professional competitions and conferences, which have been of great help to market participants. The exhibition is an opportunity to learn about new technologies and products, so that professionals can get to know each other. This is the exhibition where everything is connected and whether you are a small start-up or a company with a long history, everyone can find new partners and surprising solutions for their activities and business interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A great opportunity for any company or individual involved in the gastronomy and food industry. Representatives of the HoReCa, hotel industry, food industry, related media and marketing sector, all from the Central European region and the world will participate in the exhibition. In recent years, almost seventeen countries have been represented, with more than three hundred exhibitors and several professional organisations. The fact that the number of foreign participants and visitors from the relevant sectors was between 20,000 and 25,000 says a lot about the international prominence of Sirha. Catering Cook-off<\/strong>: \u2019K\u00d6SZ\u2019 has now developed into a high quality professional movement. Now in its eighth edition, the competition, which is held in two annual cycles, is an evolving, multi-stage competition for catering chefs, whose motto is: \u201eThe journey is the destination!\u201d<\/strong> The organisers of the competition are: National Association of Public Caterers and Food Service Managers (K\u00d6ZSZ\u00d6V), National Food Chain Safety Office (N\u00e9bih), Hungarian National Gastronomic Association (MNGSZ)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sirha Budapest Dessert Competition:<\/strong> For the fifth time, it will be organised by Zolt\u00e1n Kolonics, Hungary's most renowned creative pastry chef. The aim of the competition is to continue to provide an opportunity for the emerging and dedicated talents of the profession to showcase their technological knowledge, skills, innovative spirit and artistic talents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hungary's Tort\u00e1ja 2022 competition:<\/strong> The judging takes place live in front of a professional audience. All nominated cakes will be displayed in showcases for the public to view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sirha COFFEE CHALLENGE:<\/strong> A barista competition, organised by the Caf\u00e9Bar Project and supported by Alpro, aims to raise awareness of the explosive trend of more and more people choosing plant-based beverages that are not only delicious but also serve the needs of the conscious coffee drinker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KSE XIV INTERNATIONAL BEER COMPETITION:<\/strong> The main sponsors of the competition are the Ministry of Agriculture and the Agricultural Marketing Centre. The Association is organising its 14th beer competition, with specialities from more than eight countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

International Innovation Contest awards ceremony:<\/strong> The results of the International Innovation Contest will be presented at the opening event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The history of HUNGEXPO<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 1967, Hungexpo has been dedicated to its activities for more than five decades. They have been organising trade fairs and exhibitions, which are internationally renowned have become famous<\/a>, and over the years it has become the leading exhibition and conference in Central and Eastern Europe.Between 2019 and 2021, as a result of a so-called revitalisation programme, it became the largest exhibition area in the capital. The French group GL events, as the new owner, made significant innovative developments, opening the way for the organisation of international exhibitions and conferences.
