Of course, there are typical doughnut seasons, such as carnival, but that doesn't stop doughnut lovers from eating them all year round. It is classically eaten with icing sugar or jam. Popular varieties include the representative doughnut, the chip doughnut, the carnival doughnut, the hammer doughnut and the ribbon doughnut. In Hungary, the consumption of doughnuts is linked to carnival: the carnival doughnut <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.matusz-vad.hu\/en\/csirke-comb-alapanyag\/?utm_source=Matusz_vad_Blog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">popular pre-Lenten delicacy<\/a>, then the Christian faith<a href=\"https:\/\/shop.matusz-vad.hu\/hu?utm_source=Matusz_vad_Blog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to traditions<\/a> it's worth eating as much as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>According to tradition, the more you eat at Carnival, the more you'll harvest.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>According to folklore, the doughnut is a symbol of matchmaking: girls gave a doughnut to a boy as a gift to show their affection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If a couple broke a doughnut in half together, they were definitely close to getting married.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The carnival name \u201cribbon doughnut\u201d comes from the lighter band on the side of the doughnut.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One superstition, for example, is that it was made so that the storm would not blow the roof off the house.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If someone tells you to eat a pamplona, accept it because they're offering you a doughnut.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In 1950s America, almost the only places open until the early morning were doughnut shops. So working police officers were pretty much only eating doughnuts. German for Berlin doughnut, Vietnamese for b\u00e1nh r\u00e1n, Taiwanese for suangpaotaj, Israeli for sufganiya, Turkish\/Greek for lokma, Italian for zeppola and bombolone, Ukrainian for pampuska, Peruvian for picaron. It is almost identical to the traditional Hungarian doughnut. It can have several shapes, but the typical one, which can be seen in every movie, is the ring shape with a hole in the middle. It is rarely homemade in Hungary as it can be bought almost everywhere. They are also found in bakeries, grocery stores, snack bars, caf\u00e9s and specialised doughnut shops. It is also popular as street food, but there are also \u201eartisan\u201d and \u201egourmet\u201d versions. This has had a major impact on the doughnut revolution, as they are now available in many places in Europe, including our country. Whole brands are built on it. One reason is that everyone loves it, and another is that the only limit is your imagination. The street food line has really taken off in recent years. Donuts eaten on the street or quickly in a convenient place have infiltrated everyday life. The variety is no longer only in the colours, flavours and spreads, but also in the shapes. Donuts can be the perfect way to start, middle or end the day. And in specialised places you can take great pictures and selfies. According to one legend, it was discovered by Marie Antoinette, Queen of France, on a fair day. She took the dish to her palace, asked her cooks to improve it and from then on it was eaten at every carnival and court party. The other story is about an angry baker who threw a portion of pasta at her customer in annoyance. This piece of dough flew into the hot oil and was fried. They loved the accidental \u201edoughnut\u201d so much that they made it consciously from then on. There are many other theories of origin besides these two. One could hear of sailors who made it easily on long voyages, or of nomadic traders who were constantly on the move with their caravans and could bake it quickly in the evening.
