A Turkish coffee shop, Mosque Coffe, has been named one of the top five in the Japanese capital Tokyo.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the minibus-turned-restaurant, decorated with Turkish motifs, the company's manager, Masanori Kojama, brews real Turkish coffee in copper pots over an open fire. He says he first visited Turkey nine years ago and immediately fell in love with the Turkish and Islamic culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201eIn the eyes of the Japanese, the Islamic world and the Middle East are very exotic. Anyone who decides to travel there will definitely not be disappointed,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his second trip to Turkey, Kojama learned how to make real Turkish coffee in Istanbul and Edirne in the northwest, and three years later opened his own coffee shop in Tokyo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201eWe offer eleven types of coffee, as well as Turkish sweets and carbonated drinks, which are available in the Turkish bazaars,\u201d says Kojama, adding that a cup of coffee costs 400-800 yen, or about 1130-2250 forints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given the high level of interest, Kojama believes that Turkish coffee consumption will become an integral part of the lives of Tokyo residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year, UNESCO inscribed Turkish coffee, made and served in an authentic and unique way, on its heritage list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
