The Ministry of Innovation and Technology (ITM) has amended its regulation on qualification requirements for the hospitality sector, taking into account recent market feedback. Thus, from 13 October this year, only the person who is in charge of professional supervision in kitchen and confectionery activities should be qualified, the ministry told MTI on Wednesday.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

They added that the government attaches great importance to supporting domestic businesses and preserving the operational stability of economic operators.
    The regulation on qualification requirements was drafted after several rounds of consultation, following proposals from economic interest groups, chambers and associations, they said. However, the ministry has amended the regulation in the light of recent market feedback. The main change is that all workers in the kitchen and confectionery sectors will no longer be required to have a professional qualification. And the preparation and distribution of buffet products (such as scones, pancakes, hot sandwiches) will not be a qualifying activity at all.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
