In the summer, Austrian politicians seemed to agree that they did not want another closure like the one in the spring in the autumn. But the virus is on the attack again, and infection rates have risen so steeply that another closure has been ordered to ensure that the Austrian health service can cope.

Several sectors will be hit hard by the regulations, which come into force at the beginning of November, with hospitality being one of the biggest losers. The Austrian government has also recognised this and first decided to compensate 801TTP3T of the lost revenue of closed restaurants and hotels (based on the same period last year), but now they have extended this compensation to companies that supplied raw materials to catering units, who will also receive four fifths of the lost revenue. Let's hope this will help them get through the next period. Austria's western provinces are also eagerly awaiting the cuts, as they are already looking ahead to a possible ski season at the beginning of next year.
