Catfish stew is a dish that will make even someone who is not a fan of fish dishes salivate. Because catfish meatballs are good, and sprat is even better, we've brought the two together in one delicious dish!
Ingredients for 8 people:
- 4 heads onions
- 4 tv peppers
- 2 tomatoes
- 25 dkg bacon
- 60 dkg potatoes
- 2 pieces Egg
- 35 dkg flour (for strupacci)
- 15 dkg flour (for whisking)
- red spicy paprika
- salt
- ground cumin
- ground black pepper
- 1 bucket of sour cream
- 20 dkg Shepherd's pie
- 1 package fresh, skinned African catfish
- 1 can of FrissHal chowder concentrate
Preparation of the strepachka:
- Peel and wash the potatoes, then grate them on a fine-hole grater.
- Beat in the eggs, add salt and pepper, then add enough flour to make a paste. Dredge in salted boiling water.
- Once the dumplings have risen to the top of the water, cook for a further 3 minutes, then drain and rinse.
- Before serving, fry the bacon in small cubes, then roll the steak in it.
- Finally, add the sheep's curd mixed with sour cream. Stir until it has a nice creamy consistency.
Preparation of the catfish stew:
- First you need a really good stew base. This is salted, peppered and seasoned with the red paprika and spice seasoning. Add the ingenious FrissHal fish juice concentrate, add double the stock and continue cooking.
- During this time, the beautifully fleshed, fresh catfish fillets are processed. You won't have much to do with it, as it is already prepared. Cut it into any number of cubes or slices you like, as there are as many houses as there are customs.
- By the time we're done with that, the base will be boiling. Strain it, then strain it through a sieve and put it back in the pot.
- Add the catfish to this wonderful base and cook for a further 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, prepare a bowl with flour and a little salt. Mix this with a little water until lump-free.
- Then add the sour cream, mix well and the whisking is done.
- Add this to the catfish stock in several batches, then stir gently, taking care not to break up the catfish meat.
- After 4-5 minutes of boiling, remove from the rack and serve!
- Serve with finely chopped fresh dill, fresh parsley and the sprigs of grapefruit.
Enjoy your meal!
