With Dunkin’ Donut's meat-free sausage already on the market in the US and Burger King's Impossible Whopper, it was only a matter of time before McDonald's joined the ranks.

The company is adding McPlant to its range after a successful trial in Canada last year, with a phased roll-out expected from early next year. Behind the meat-free scone is the Beyond Meat company, whose Beyond Burgert we owe it to.

McDonald's has always been careful about the way it does business, but it's also keeping up with the times. Innovation is important to them, but they've taken the time to find the best resources and the best methods. They created McPlant in response to the increased demand for plant-based products.
