Food photography is a wonderful genre, although many of us probably think of it mainly as beautifully designed fine dining restaurant photo shoots, although the journey from food to tasting is not only long, but interesting.
There is a prize, the Pink Lady Photographer of the Year Award, open to professionals and amateurs alike. There are several categories, so from trendy magazine photos to religious festival meals and ingredient gathering, the fantastic photos will be fantastic.
Founded in 2011 by Caroline Kenyon, the jury has received over 70,000 photographs and films since then. The aim was to give this sector of photography the attention and recognition it undoubtedly deserves.
