Pigs and pigging are almost the same age as humanity. There is no doubt that meat consumption has been part of the universal gastronomy for centuries. When we think of meat consumption, we think of beef and veal and we mean pork first, followed possibly by game meat. There is no doubt that Iberico has become a legendary ingredient.

Want it without fat and meat?

There was a period, which has thankfully passed, that fat and fatty consumption of food not suitable for the human body. The advance of a fit lifestyle, of conscious nutrition, is constantly supported by dogmatic theories. They are not, of course, devilish and assume the criteria of a scientifically physiological approach to nutrition. Nevertheless. need the meat, and need fat, the consumption of which is essential for the body. There is a good explanation for everything, and presumably meat lovers and vegetarians alike have their truths to ponder.

Are humans carnivores?

Do we want the pig? Now that's something many people don't know! Humans are not anatomically carnivorous at all, strangely enough not omnivorous, and not even herbivorous. Man is a fruit-eating biological individual. For this reason, if we were to live in an actual biologically meaningful way, man would live only in the tropical zone and would feed constantly on fruit. A carnivores their jaws can only move up and down, they just grab the food and swallow it. They don't really chew. The jaws of herbivores and humans can move sideways, so we can chew plant fibres. Carnivores have sharp, pointed front teeth. So basically humans are omnivores and adapted to their environment. For this reason, no dietary method can be rejected, whether vegetarian or focused on meat form. Humans and prehistoric man have been eating meat for a very long time, and our bodies have adapted well to this during evolution.

There are many types of fat

There's no question that if we want to eat good-tasting products, we also eat fat. It is a well-established fact that good quality pork, lard, pork, good duck and goose fat have physiological benefits. For us Hungarians, mangalica is readily available, but the best quality meat and piglets are now available from all over the world, including Iberico. A with the right raw material, food prepared using cooking technology, whatever the fat content, can be an advantage.

There is no need for the unnecessary anxiety that society has generated in recent times. Despite the fact that cholesterol is widely claimed to be harmful and should be avoided, it is in fact an essential molecule in the body. It is an important part of cells and an essential component of the hormone balance.

The fat of Iberico is slightly earthy, fragrant, slightly nutty, which even the greatest chefs will find a sensual gastronomic experience. And the Iberico steak, which also thanks to this, offers a fantastic depth of flavour.

Iberico is the perfect meat

In principle, meat, including pork, is a perfect source of protein. It plays an important role in the structure and function of the cells of the human body. The human body breaks down food proteins into amino acids and uses them to build its own proteins. The amino acids that our body cannot produce are called essential amino acids. Iberian grass and acorns are the feed for premium quality, and this is the basis for the extremely high quality of Iberico meat and fat. It is a traditional variety in Spain, widespread and particularly important in gastronomy worldwide.
