Restaurants can continue to deliver to your door, but the rules on vending will not be tightened!
There are a few exceptions to this provision, such as to prevent imminent danger to life, limb or property, and to allow people to leave if they are providing care or assistance to people in need of support or fulfilling family responsibilities.
You may also leave home to meet everyday needs, including to stay with a partner, relatives or one or two key people living in a separate household.
Similarly, you can leave your home to access health services, care for animals, meet housing needs and basic religious needs, including, for example, attending funerals or places of worship individually. You may also leave your home for professional and educational purposes for those who need to.
According to the Austrian regulation, residential homes include homes for the elderly and homes for people with disabilities.
The curfew comes into force on Tuesday 17 November and will initially be in force until 26 November. The remaining measures will remain in force until at least 6 December.
