There are exclusive, unique, expensive, small and gigantic restaurants. The world's gastronomy tries to satisfy every need, but there is always something new under the sun. The ‘legends’ are no longer enough. There are special places that are both astonishing and extraordinary. Great examples of how the human imagination knows no bounds.

Dining in the Eiffel Tower
About the Eiffel Tower for all Paris comes to mind. The magnificent work of engineer Gustave Eiffel was built for the 1889 World's Fair and was originally scheduled for demolition after the exhibition. But the 324-metre-high building was so has become iconic, that it was eventually preserved and through it riveted architecture was elevated to a high level. It is known that there is a restaurant on the first floor, which is 58 metres high. The next, at 116 metres, was originally intended to be a meteorological research laboratory, and the third floor, at 276 metres, is a simple lookout. But what many people don't know is what the top of the tower hides. There, Eiffel real luxury has created a suite for himself.

A Jules Verne Restaurant a real curiosity. You can't imagine a more romantic place to propose or have an intimate dinner. Of course, here you can sample contemporary French cuisine with a twist of tradition. The views are simply spectacular, with Paris at your feet. The interior was designed by interior designer Patrick Jouin. It's not that far away, so if you can't make it, go up and try it out.

Be afraid and eat
The restaurant T'Spookhuys was created by owners Karl Hendrix and Bjorn Leys in Turnhout, Belgium. They bought a building that had been completely ruined and renovated it to look the same, but even scarier. It also looks like a haunted mansion. And their intention was precisely to give guests the creeps. Extreme location, extreme food. In fact, if you love horror movies, this is for you. culinary entertainment. The garden is like an enchanted castle, with free-flowing plants as if a gardener had never seen them. The eerie path leading to the restaurant is lined with scary statues watching your every move. All the modern technology has been deployed to enhance the experience, with terrifying sound effects, creaking doors, rustling ghostly voices, and the occasional shrill satanic laughter to let you know that this is unlike anywhere else. Cobwebs and crawling spiders are everywhere in the corners, ominous smoke seeps from the ceiling and gruesome paintings adorn the walls. Worn candlesticks and yellowed books set the mood.

Of course, the food and the way it was served was also awe-inspiring. Not surprisingly, there are a variety of imaginative names on the menu. Mud pie, worm bowl, dragon heart, elf guts and so on. The staff dressed in various costumes are also in keeping with the setting, so you might be served by Dracula himself, a witch, a dirty beggar or a werewolf. The soup is served in a skull, and if you order meat, you only get it in pieces (but perfectly cooked, of course) on a broken plate. No wonder the special the restaurant has become a Mecca for experience seekers, with visitors from far and wide. It was expensive to set up, but it is a huge success. The restaurant is temporarily closed.

Luxury restaurant in prison
People have extreme needs, even in terms of gastronomic delights. Well, this restaurant can satisfy them considerably. In one of the most heavily guarded prisons in Italy, a top restaurant has been created. Sounds morbid, but it's been done. Not far from Pisa is the jewel of the town of Volterra. The restaurant, a chapel, was converted into a restaurant for guests. It's not so easy to get in, as there are strict rules, but some people are not deterred. Only inmates work in the restaurant of the „institution”, the entire staff is drawn from among them, subject to strict precautions of course. It is, in fact, an opportunity for them to reintegrate more easily when they return to normal life. It is interesting to note that this is not a unique example in the world, as there are such restaurants in England and Japan.

Here, guests can also dine in cells behind bars if they wish. As an extra service, they are even treated to a riot and even handcuffed. Gastronomic experiences abound here too, as you can taste a wonderful variety of dishes, with 4, 6 or 8 courses on request.
But these three restaurants are not the end of the oddball restaurants. We've got plenty of surprises in store for you in the next episode. It's amazing what you can invent to entertain your guests to the max.
