Ingredients for 4 people:
- 1 kg catfish fillet
- 1 head onions
- 15 dkg smoked bacon
- 3 cloves garlic
- 4 dl chowder concentrate
- 1 tsp salt
- Ground pepper
- 1 pc red peppers
- 2 dl sour cream
- 1.5 tbsp flour
Preparing the Christmas catfish stew:
- First prepare the stew base. In a hot pan, fry the cubes of smoked bacon, add the chopped onion and after a little while the sliced garlic. Add a little water each time and sauté again until the onion is fully cooked. soften.
- Then pour in the finished chowder concentrate,
- sprinkle with red pepper, salt and mix well.
- Wait for the paprika to melt, then add the chopped fish, add a little water, stir gently and cook for 10 minutes.
- When the catfish fillets are tender, remove from the pan.
- Mix the flour with the sour cream and whisk it into the stew base.
- Return the catfish to the sauce and bring to the boil.
