Ingredients for 4 people:

Preparing the Christmas catfish stew:

  • First prepare the stew base. In a hot pan, fry the cubes of smoked bacon, add the chopped onion and after a little while the sliced garlic. Add a little water each time and sauté again until the onion is fully cooked. soften.
  • Then pour in the finished chowder concentrate,
  • sprinkle with red pepper, salt and mix well.
  • Wait for the paprika to melt, then add the chopped fish, add a little water, stir gently and cook for 10 minutes.
  • When the catfish fillets are tender, remove from the pan. 
  • Mix the flour with the sour cream and whisk it into the stew base.
  • Return the catfish to the sauce and bring to the boil. 

A delicious side dish, with cottage cheese and dill.
