I feel much lighter, full of energy. Although I'm only 30, I haven't been in such good shape since I was a teenager," says Gergő, who used to love meat, but switched to veganism six months ago.

„COVID brought this change to my life. Along with working from home, the pounds have crept up and exercise has been reduced to almost zero. I started by looking for live online workouts on the web, which is more motivating than working out alone. Later, I also started putting together workout programmes for friends, and once a week I got my family to do an online workout together. It worked really well for us and actually became a form of keeping in touch, as we live in 3 countries around the world. All in all, that's what made me vegan. My sister was the first to go vegan. She had lactose intolerance and became allergic to eggs.”

Gergő added that becoming a vegan was also a powerful influence in his decision to start paying attention to his diet and its physiological effects. He realised that dairy also bloated him and meat made his body heavy. But as soon as she stopped eating these foods, she felt more energetic and lighter, as if she had weights that weighed a ton.

Later, he also realised that if he made his meals with vegetables, he would have a much more varied diet than if he had eaten meat. In addition, he was introduced to many vegetables and spices that he had never eaten before. And although she used to love cooking, she now gets much more pleasure from being in the kitchen.

And there is another significant benefit of veganism for Gergő: he lost 15 kilos in six months without starving or dieting, just paying more attention to his diet.
