Why did we count 8 Bavarian sausages? Because, due to their size, a wurst dog can hold 2. But if I assume that you will taste it while making it and get hooked on the taste, then you can calculate with more, so that there won't be any left for the others!
Ingredients for 4 people:
- 4 pieces drilled hot-dog buns
- 4 pieces grilled Hungarian grilled sausage or 8 Bavarian sausages
- Ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise
- Roasted onions
- 5 dl beer
Preparing the wurst dog:
- A sausages can be prepared in several ways, in the oven, grilled, pan-fried or even on a skewer over a campfire, but the latter is more time-consuming, but actually brilliant all the same.
- And you can heat them on a hot dog machine, contact grill, griddle or oven. The main thing is to cook them for 1 minute maximum and no longer, otherwise you will overcook the already cooked buns.
- Once we've done that, at our discretion you can start serving and eating your wurst dog.
- To taste, fill the buns with a ketchup-mustard-mayo trio, sprinkle with fried onions, and simply place the cooked sausages inside the buns.
- Serve with beer for adults and freshly mixed lemonade for kids!
Enjoy your meal!
