Ingredients for 4 people:

Preparing the fish stock:

  • Fry the finely chopped onion and crushed garlic in a little fat. Add the diced carrots and turnips. Continue to fry and add 1 dl red wine. Add the bay leaf, a little salt and pepper. Sauté the vegetables until they are semi-soft. When this is done, pour in the water with the finished chowder and bring to the boil. 
  • Meanwhile, the dice African catfish salt and pepper to taste. 
  • Once the soup has come to the boil, reduce the heat and simmer gently. Add the sour cream and the lemon juice. Add the catfish cubes and after 5-6 minutes of cooking, the soup is ready. Finish by sprinkling in finely chopped dill. 
  • Serve with dill and lemon sour cream.
