The Park Restaurant in Berekfürdő surprised its guests with a fantastic menu even during the deliveries. Of course, Easter is also a great time for a new menu, and that's when they plan to launch the new menu. I spoke to Ildiko Szabó, the restaurant's sales manager.

Grilled goat cheese, crispy garden salad

- Trees are budding, birds are chirping, Easter is inexorably approaching. I suppose they are already preparing for it. I understand that they try to have a festive menu for every special day, even if it's delivery only.

- Yes, we try to seize every festive opportunity. We recently had Valentine's Day and in the autumn we had Martin's Day. Unfortunately, due to the epidemic, we can only work with delivery, and some people didn't ask for it because they didn't want to eat from a box at home... But fortunately, many of our guests still chose us. We are confident that we will be open for Easter, but we will certainly have an Easter menu, no question about it.

Beetroot soup with raspberry vinegar and goat's cheese, smoked meat ravioli, egg shavings

- What it will be, you may already know?

- Of course, we have it all figured out. Classic, lambwill be a four-course menu based on the main course, starter, soup, main course and dessert. Grilled goat cheese will be a salad, then a very tasty beetroot soup with beetroot and raspberry vinegar, smoked meat ravioli and egg casserole, then lamb french sheep's cheese polentával, bacon with crisps and roasted root vegetables, and for dessert we are planning a classic carrot cake.

- Sounds very good...

- Yes, and we hope very much to open, because then we would also introduce the new spring menu. We've kept some classics, but there will be a lot of new things.

- What are the classics you can't miss?

- The meat soup, the goulash soup, the Karcag mutton stew, the red wine beef stew, the gypsy steak and the roast pork dishes. And the desserts include Somló dumplings and the cheesecake the big favourite, we don't take them off.

- Which of the new foods is the boldest?

- A Surf and turf. It is a combination of seafood and land-based dishes, i.e. two very different ingredients. It's not known around here at all, we wonder if they dare ask, or dare to ask, what it's made of? We will also have a cuckoo's egg dessert, we think that will be popular.

- Will it always be different? If I ask twice in a row, will I get a different one?

- No, it's the same sweet, but every tenth one has a little discount card hidden inside, it's a game to see who gets it. We're curious to see how it's received...
