Honour and achievement
It is a great achievement not only for Hungarian gastronomy, but for the whole country that Hungary will once again host an international event that is of great interest all over the world.

Over the past decade, the Hungarian gastronomic scene has undergone a tremendous development, which has been reflected in numerous international achievements. It is a great honour and merit to After 2016 Europe's best-known chefs will gather in our country once again, with teams from 20 countries, and from both a tourism and a gastronomic point of view, it is a fantastic opportunity for our country.
This means that Budapest will be the venue for the selection of the European countries that will participate in the Bocuse d'Or at the 2023 world finals in Lyon.

Tamás Széll, the most successful Hungarian driver of all time:

„Winning this competition was a fantastic and unforgettable experience. I hope that the domestic competition will give another Hungarian chef the opportunity to introduce himself to the European field. In addition, hundreds of young Hungarian chefs will be able to watch the best of the best and the European public will once again be able to get to know Hungarian ingredients.”

A huge opportunity
It is not insignificant that the European selection of the world's most prestigious cooking competition is one of the biggest gastronomic tourism shows possible. It is a serious advertisement for Hungary, which after the difficulties of the last two years is like a loaf of bread.
It is both an honour and a great opportunity for our country to showcase itself even more on the international stage, and to underline the place it has earned on the world gastronomic map in recent years.
As the saying goes, there is still a lot of water to flow down the Danube, but let us be proud and believe in this great opportunity! Let's cheer together for the home team, the Hungarian participants, and help the Hungarian hosts in trouble.
