It's always good to have some fried trappistas in the freezer, because what kid can resist gooey, melted cheese, right? If you're looking for a warm meal to put on the table after school, this is the perfect choice!

Ingredients for 4 people:

Preparing the fried cheese:

  • We won't have much to do with this great little dish. Bring the 7 dl of water to the boil. Meanwhile, fry the rice in a little fat until translucent, add salt to taste and then carefully add the boiling water. Stir and simmer the rice over a low heat with the lid on.
  • Meanwhile, fry the crushed garlic in a pan, add the green peas, season with salt, pepper and finely chopped parsley. When the rice is ready, mix with the green peas and set aside until serving.
  • Heat the oil or coconut oil in a frying pan and heat the pre-breaded, double-breaded trappist cheeses fry until golden brown. It's important to put it in hot fat, as the cheese doesn't need much time, just until the rind is a nice golden brown and it's done! Place them on a paper-lined plate.

Preparing the sauce:

  • For the sauce, all you have to do is mix the sour cream, mayonnaise, mustard, icing sugar, a little salt and lemon juice in a careful and even motion.
  • When serving, you're guaranteed to have a good time with the delicious, crispy and gooey cheese.

Enjoy your meal!
