The Algyő Fishery is located along the 47 road, halfway between Szeged and Hódmezővásárhely, and the workers are not idle for a moment, despite the current difficult conditions. I spoke to the owner of the restaurant, László Barta.

- Tell us what your delicious chowders the secret?

- We don't have any secrets...

- I don't think every fish restaurant has its own secret recipe that makes it unique. fish juice.

- It is certain that the fish juice at from carp about to be made. We have the plain filleted carp soup, then we cook a mixed soup with perch, catfish and carp. We offer gourmet chowder, in which only perch and catfish there is, and there is a place our chowder which is „seasoned” with lemon and sour cream.

- For some time now regulation has required that only farmed from fish restaurants can work.

- Yes, that's right, but we bred well before the regulation fish because neither the Tisza nor the Danube has so much carp, as much as we use. Since I've been running a fishing lodge, I've bought from fish we cook.

- Nowadays, they can't be open, they deliver?

- No, we're quite far from the cities, we don't deliver, but we do cook to go, a lot. We are very popular.

- Christmas is coming, are people ordering?

- Yes, I already closed the Christmas orders on the 9th. On the 23rd we usually give out the chowders, no more orders will be taken that day.

- How many doses do they usually ask for?

- Around Christmas we usually make 2500 portions. This year I took 1500 orders because I didn't want the queue outside to be that long during the epidemic.

- That's still a lot, how much hal do you need this?

- Can be calculated for a serving of 20 dkg carpfillets, for 2500 portions you need 5 mase of fillets, or about 20 mase hal.

- Bream not put in at all?

- No, we have so much our fish head, our fish bone, that it does not need to be bream. I personally am not a fan of the for bream, I think chowder only from carp can be cooked. Households and fishermen put small fish in it, but we never do.
