More than 40 partners visited our sample kitchen in Budapest, where we presented nearly 30 delicious desserts and confectionery bases to our guests. In addition to fully prepared cakes, the event also featured products that offer a convenient solution to our customers' kitchen problems.

At the show, sponsored by Pidy, visitors were able to sample products from Nats Rawline, Poppies Bakeries, Toscana and Pfalzgraf. There was everything from classics to vegan cakes on the tables, while the organising company impressed the audience with its fully kitchen-ready confectionery. As well as wanting to sweeten the start of the week for our partners, our aim was to showcase a range of products that can be easily and quickly used anywhere from small corner cafes to buffet-style hotels. Another big advantage is that they offer a great solution for restaurateurs who are short of space and staff. They require neither expertise nor a dedicated preparation area. The majority of the ready-made cakes are egalised, ready to eat in just a few hours at room temperature and pre-sliced, so their consumption is easy to calculate.

Pidy

Europe best of is a family business of bakery and confectionery products with a history of more than 50 years, currently managed by the 3rd generation. Its founder, Andre Dehaeck, reformed the French puff pastry, or vol-au-vent. His reputation for uniquely delicious pasta quickly spread and he decided to produce large quantities of his high-quality pre-baked and ready-to-fill baskets to meet growing demand. Since then, his company has distributed over 300 products in a wide variety of colours, sizes and shapes to ensure that every customer can find the one that best suits their needs. This time, we made sweet and savoury dishes with margarine and butter puff pastry and three types of sponge cake (natural, cocoa, multigrain cocoa). These can be prepared as a guest snack, a full-fledged main course or as a dessert. In the spirit of this, the puff pastry cheese sticks, apple chicken pie, smoked salmon ricotta - spinach quiche, retro cheese roll and bacon and cabbage strudel, mille feulle and tiramisu. And the chocolate sponge cakes were used for a log cake.

Poppies Bakeries

The company, which has grown from a small, Belgian-based manufactory, still stands for the same values as when it was founded in 1935. Making the best using the best possible ingredients, without compromise. In their range as well as frozen desserts, cakes, macarons and tea cakes, but Matusz-Vad's partners have become particularly popular with their gluten-free products. All of these are individually packaged, so there is no risk of cross-contamination. The brownie, coconut star and lemon slice were sampled at the event.

A Palatine is the company that has been proving for decades that its frozen cakes are as delicious as if they were fresh out of the oven. Their partners include small bakeries and hotel giants alike. The secret to their success is that they have perfected the combination of artisan bakeries’ dedication and state-of-the-art technology, so that they can be present in countries across the continent with consistent quality. Our portfolio currently includes seven types with cookies are represented by the vegan pear and chocolate cake, the cream and almond bar, the tiramisu bar, the butter plum crumb cake, the chocolate and coconut sponge cake, the apple and cheese cake.

Nats Rawline

Whether for ethical or health reasons, the number of people switching to a plant-based diet has increased dramatically in the last 10 years, so there is a huge market for catering to the vegan audience. A Nats Rawline is not only vegetable in 100%, but also gluten-free. Their desserts are made without heating anything above 46 degrees Celsius, so all ingredients are guaranteed to retain their vitamins and minerals. Flavour enhancers and artificial additives are unknown. The intense flavour of their products is only possible thanks to the high quality of the raw materials, sweetened with fructose from dates and figs. The products are packaged in a practical and well-balanced way and can be stored for up to 14 months in the freezer or 7-9 days in the fridge without any deterioration. Our webshop offers 4 exciting flavours (chocolate-coconut, raspberry-hazelnut, chocolate-peanut and mango-lime).

Toscana Confectionery

Our group family bakery the guarantee that we can provide our customers with homemade, lovingly made desserts all year round. Sliced cakes are delivered weekly from our factory in Győr to our Budapest site, from where they are sold throughout the country. Our portfolio currently includes six different types of heavenly slices (chocolate-nut, poppy-apple, Sacher, salted caramel, peach-yoghurt, Somló dumplings).
