About the competition
The competition was preceded by several months of preparation, during which the team had to complete various tasks: an introduction video, a social media campaign, a creative CV, a Mapstell personality test, the development of an idea and writing it in the form of a scientific article, and a 3-minute elevator pitch.
This year's theme was „Break the Mould”. The idea was to break the mould, the habits and the systems. In this context, the teams themselves were able to choose the area in which they would come up with ideas that broke with tradition. In developing the brand ServeUout (Serve You Out), the BGE team focused on how to make hotel operations (such as housekeeping, maintenance, IT, kitchen) how to generate revenue. The areas highlighted are those that are most visible on the expenditure side of hotels' lives. Their ideas can also move towards profitability in these areas. They also came up with solutions to offer these areas to local residents.
The result achieved by the BGE KVIK team is also a credit to the national education. We can be sure that the fatal professionals, by the future hospitality, and tourism can be in good hands.
