Today I've brought the topic of street food for a few thoughts.
Exciting things are planned around my house, I can tell you that I'm about to get into the hospitality business myself, with a grill restaurant and special street food sandwiches, so I have a topic to write about today.
Of course, I will tell you about the phases, difficulties and joys of the opening, but until then, let's see...

What is street food?
It is simple, easy to prepare and can even be eaten on a walk, sold in small stalls, bakeries and markets instead of restaurants.
Everyone has eaten street food, we've been eating it since childhood, but it's only recently become a generic term, and it's now in vogue.
We all have a fond memory, I'm sure.
On the beach with a delicious cooked maize, or on holiday with a golden brown roast hekk, grilled chicken or the great Hungarian speciality, the fried meat sandwich?
At the weekend market on the hurka, Sausages with mustard, a big soft slice of white bread or even a good garlic scones, hornbread on a summer evening while walking...
We love them all, and I haven't even mentioned the very trendy, established, foreign “star” dishes like hot dog, a hamburger, or the gyros, which have undergone a huge qualitative development in the last few years.

On holiday abroad, you can get an insight into the culture and gastronomy of a country through street food, authenticity and immersion.
Without being exhaustive, just take the delicious Asian noodles, soups, the cavalcade of spices... Turkish kebabs, even the British have their own street food speciality, fish and chips. The legendary Norwegian meatballs, or Serbian burek, csevap, pljeskavica.

Street food, not to be confused with junk food and fast food. Junk food is industrially processed, ready-to-eat food with a myriad of additives and preservatives, whereas fast food is relatively quick to prepare and take away. Street food has all of these characteristics, but it can be a very healthy snack made up of very high quality ingredients.
Super events and food trucks are waiting for those who want to try something new this summer. This segment is also constantly innovating, with varied and inspiring new ideas popping up all the time to please culinary adventurers.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm hungry, I'm going to the flamingosho :)! I'll be back soon with BBQ Basics Chapter 2!
